Its never about you alone
This is just a simple exercise that i would hope that anyone reading this blog would actually do. Its nothing physical or strenuous so anyone could actually do it. Its just that whether you are kinda up for it.
Well here it goes. Tonight when everyone in your home is sound asleep, just go over to your parent's bedroom and look at them for a moment. Take a look at their faces, those tired faces and those wrinkles on it. Ask yourself then, "How much longer would they have to go on like this just so you can lead a better life? How much time do they have left in this world to see you become someone successful, better off than them?"
Are you gonna let them work till they are 55? 65? Or 75 just so they can support themselves in the years to come. And not lead a lifestyle that they have been longing for all these while. With your current lifestyle and job you're holding, could you even sustain enough for YOUR daily needs? How much are you going to give to your parents? $100? $200 per month? Would that be enough for them to retire early and lead a healthy and happy life?
Why are you being so selfish then? As much as our parents dont want us to suffer we wouldnt want them to suffer as well. But ARE WE DOING ENOUGH to survive in this rapidly changing world/country where everything cost money. We might say that "Money isnt everything." But when our parents get sick, would they have enough money to see the doctor? If one day, our loved ones are in danger, would we have the cash on hand to try and save their lives? That is why, money ultimately is important in our everyday live in this current era. Back then, our parents and grandparent can live a happy life without money because all they have to make them happy is YOU, hoping that one fine day, you could make them happy as well.
My dear fellow readers, we have so much time ahead of us, so much to live for and so much is in store for us. But our parents, they do not have that luxury of time no more. Even if one day, 30 years down the road, we become successful and lead a wealthy and happy life, would they be there with you to see you being successful. Or would you be wishing that your parents could be with you at that moment in time.
~~~
Life is short and we must always make the most and best out of it. Everyone isnt born with the same intellect or wealth. But we all have the same 24hours to live by. And with that, we should find ways NOW to change our life as well as our parents'. Cause time wont wait for us and neither would life. |
Motto: Dare to Dream. Do you?
What this is all about: Things in life aren't what life brings to you but more of what you make the most out of life itself. Not everyone has the same intellect when they started in this world nor the same amount of wealth. But we all do have the same amount of time (i.e 24 hours) to work out what's best for the rest of our life. |
