Why is it so hard to change?

To think and to react. To be logical and to be emotional.

A lot of times, people live based on emotions. Every single thing we do, we will always let our emotions control us. How we react and behave is always, if not most of the time, based on how we are feeling. Its easy for us to be controlled by our emotions because thats what we are - humans. Love, Hate, Depression, Happiness are just some of the examples of emotions that we go through every single day.

But sometimes, where we go wrong is by letting EMOTIONS take control the way we make choices in our lives. Fights and rampages are good examples of emotions taking over us. Just take a look at Bruce Banner. Whenever he's angry or mad, he turns into a Hulk and starts destroying stuffs and lives around him. Is it logical to start thrashing about? No. That is Bruce Banner, but im sure many of us have ever felt so angry and we started to unleash the "hulk" in us too. For whatever reasons, turning into a Hulk will never solve the issue.

Now i am not going to talk about being angry or mad and letting our emotions control our angry mood. No, this is not my point. The point here is really showing you that most of the time, our actions are based entirely on emotions and never or maybe slightly based on logic.

Now, most of the times i meet up with young aspiring entrepreneurs who are, in a course of organizing or managing a business, all have one thing in common - the mentality of not working for others. But sadly, a majority of them also hold a same set of beliefs (subconsciously) - EGO. Although they might be onto something, the 2nd group of people have a flaw. They never would want to be open/take a look at other opportunities out there. The pride and ego of being an entrepreneur themselves, shuts them out from working FOR others AND ALSO working WITH others. The thing here i want to bring across is that these people let emotions conquer them. What do you have to lose by being open? What do you have to gain when you're not being open?

Well, the answers to both is nothing. People then would argue and say that they would lose "time". But time being substituted for exposure and understanding newer opportunities is priceless. One can actually gain so much more if they choose to be open.

Next, a lot of people would say that being logical is like common sense. But a lot of times, people often get mixed up one for the other. That is because, logic is a higher state of thinking. Common sense would tell you that you could actually dash across the busy road to get to the other side. But logical thinking would tell you that its much easier to wait for the green man to light up. Logic is therefore, the application of common sense.

What differentiates logic from common sense is that the former is rational thinking while the latter is more like instinct. And that being said, common sense is being easily affected by the society you have been raised in, what you are used to etc. Which in turn links back to emotions. Cause what is perceived by the community is therefore just common sense for us to follow through it. And best part is, this emotional sense of thought is very instantaneous. A lot of people might have common sense but they hardly think through a choice logically. I guess thats where the phrases "Common Sense is sometimes Uncommon." comes about.

Now after reading this blog, its common for you to think negatively towards it or positively towards it. You might or might not agree with me but just bear in mind, the moment you take a step out of this computer room, start thinking logically about the choices you would have to make in the future. Think not based on emotions or common sense, but think deeper. Think logically. Cause thats why we humans, are created differently from animals.

ITS ABOUT TIME I CHANGE.

Those 5 words you just mentioned above, takes you a step closer to who you really could be. Its not how good you are, its how good you want to be.

About Me

Motto: Dare to Dream. Do you?

What this is all about: Things in life aren't what life brings to you but more of what you make the most out of life itself. Not everyone has the same intellect when they started in this world nor the same amount of wealth. But we all do have the same amount of time (i.e 24 hours) to work out what's best for the rest of our life.
